Now that I recognize my need for counseling or coaching, what is my first step?
Recognizing your need for counseling or coaching IS the First Step! The second step is it to call our office at 817-812-3021 to begin the intake process and to set up your first appointment.

Call our office at 817-812-3021 to begin the intake process.
Can a new patient schedule their first appointment online?

How do I schedule subsequent (non-intake) appointments?
Recurring clients have the option of multi-scheduling, calling the office or using our online self-scheduling portal accessible through the Appointment tab of this website.
How long are the counseling sessions?
The typical insurance intake is 50 minutes; a self-pay intake is normally 90 minutes. Subsequent sessions are 45 to 50 minutes.
What is multiple scheduling?
It is a manner of scheduling multiple appointments whereby the client can choose to meet on the same day and at the same time, every week based on availability. Once the same day, same time appointment is set up, that time slot is dedicated to you.
If you are not able to serve my needs, can you refer me to someone who can?
Yes. Feel free to ask the staff to provide you with a referral list, particularly of other faith-based counseling organizations in the area.
How often do I meet with my counselor or coach? And for how long?
The frequency of visits will be jointly decided by you and your counselor or coach; normally however, we meet with clients weekly.
Is the intake process different for minor children?
Yes. The biggest difference between an adult intake and a minor is this: Involved parents will come in for the first appointment to discuss the presenting issues with the counselor. The minor should stay home. The parents and child will come together for a family session during the second meeting. The child will begin individual sessions by the third meeting.
Can I schedule an intake appointment for another adult?
No, unless you are making the appointment for yourself and your spouse. You are free to assist someone with research, but the potential client must recognize and admit their need, take the initiative to call in, and set the appointment. In effect, that is the initial part of the therapeutic process.
Insurance
Do you take insurance? If so, which plans?
Yes. Several of our counselors are in network with most Aetna, BCBS, and Cigna plans with a few exceptions. Determination of insurance eligibility is a part of our intake process.
How do I know which counselors take insurance?
The quickest way is to review the information under the Professional Staff tab. You will find the counselor’s insurance information and bio directly below their introduction. If your insurance company isn’t listed, feel free to call the office at 817-812-3021 for verification.
Are all of your providers credentialed with insurance plans?
No, unfortunately provider acceptance into a plan is based upon current perceived demographical need as determined by each insurance company.
