A certified life coach is a professional who helps you achieve nontherapeutic personal and professional goals. Over the last decade coaching has exploded to become a modernized form of personal empowerment. It provides motivation, accountability and strategies to reach your dreams.
Life coaches focus on client goals. They are not equipped to diagnose or treat mental health conditions, therefore insurance benefits cannot be used as payment. Instead of dealing with the past, life coaches will focus more on your present and future potential, and help you realize what your future could look like.

According to the International Board of Christian Care, the four levels of Life Coaching are as follows:
CCLC- Certified Christian Life Coach
“Identify and practice as a Christian Coach. This refers to independently practicing life coaches who incorporate biblical principles and coaching skills with appropriate theory, knowledge, and professional practice.
Completion of a minimum of 24 educational hours/CEs of specialized life coach training related to the incorporation of biblical principles and coaching skills with appropriate theory, knowledge, and professional practice.”
CACLC- Certified Advanced Christian Life Coach
“Identify and practice as a Christian Coach”…..as stated above.
“Completion of a minimum of 38 educational hours/CEs of specialized life coach training related to the incorporation of biblical principles and coaching skills with appropriate theory, knowledge, and professional practice.”
CMCLC- Certified Master Christian Life Coach
“Identify and practice as a Christian Coach”…...as stated above.
“Completion of a minimum of 60 educational hours/CEs of specialized life coach training related to the incorporation of biblical principles and coaching skills with appropriate theory, knowledge, and professional practice.
Be able to document at least one year of experience in coaching related activities with clients or in the training/equipping of others on coaching topics.”
CPCLC- Certified Professional Christian Life Coach

“Completion of a minimum of 200 educational hours/CEs of specialized life coach training related to the incorporation of biblical principles and coaching skills with appropriate theory, knowledge, and professional practice.
